Computer scientist position at the Fritz Haber Institute

The theory departement of the Fritz Haber Institute is looking for a computer scientist to work on improving and extending the infrastructure for parsing and data analytics of the Novel Materials Discovery Centre of Excellence, which involves 4 supercomputing centers and 7 other leading scientific institutions.

This means working on the new frontier of big data at the intersection between materials science and computer science. 

You would help bring forward our state-of-the-art infrastructure. In addition, you will improve your programming skills in python, scala and javascript and will become acquainted with a wide spectrum of technologies like RabbitMQ, Flink, NodeJS, Kubernetes, Docker and relational databases. 

Outstanding programming skills are required and a background in computational materials science, physics or chemistry is appreciated.
