The workshop consisted of talks focused on real cases from materials and life sciences in which computational modelling has played an essential role in the understanding of chemical or biological processes.
Researchers from industry and academia came together for discussion, exchanging ideas and developing collaborations. In particular, researchers from different fields were able to meet, potentially fostering fresh, innovative ideas for new interdisciplinary research.
A wide range of industries, including Oil & Gas, Life sciences & Biotechnology and Sustainability, were represented. There was also a significant presence from the high-performance computing (HPC) area. Overall, the workshop provided a useful mixture of HPC, modelling, and applications.
