NOMAD features in LRZ 2017 Annual Report
LRZ leads the virtual reality (VR) work in NOMAD and contribute to the remote visualization activities in collaboration with MPCDF. NOMAD highlights from 2017 are shared in the LRZ Annual Report.
In 2017, a VR solution was developed to visualize chemical simulations, including crystal structures, Fermi surfaces and electron-hole pairs. The VR tools developed can be used on a wide range of devices from HTC Vive, Samsung GearVR and Google Cardboard to CAVE environments.
